Our Practices

Our animals are raised on pasture out in the fresh air and sunshine. We practice rotational grazing methods. In addition to pasture, our chicken and pork receive Non GMO grain. Our beef and lamb are grass finished with a small portion of oats, which help replicate their natural diet with mature seed heads. seed heads. Our beef also receive a small amount of fermented wheat and barley. We have a cow/calf herd for the majority of our beef. In addition to our own herd, we will sometimes source younger animals from local farmers and from the time we get them, they are raised on pasture according to our standards. Occasionally we will source ready beef animals from a farmer in the Shenandoah valley who raises his animals strictly on his beautifully tended pastures.

We don’t use chemical fertilizers on our pasture, our pastures sustain good fertility through our rotational grazing system. This combination creates a deliciously healthy product that you can feel good about serving your family. Our family looks forward to serving you in this 2023 growing season!
